Sopore, March 22 (KNO): Two militants were killed in an ongoing gunfight that raged between forces and militants in Warpora village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday morning. Official sources told KNO that two unidentified militants have been killed in the gunfight. Earlier, contingents of Army 22 RR, SOG Sopore, 177 and 179CRPF and Police cordon off Warpora village in the wee hours on Thursday following receiving inputs about the presence of militants there. As the forces intensified the searches, hiding militants in the area opened fire, leading to a gunfight which was going on when last reports came in. Officials further said that the search operation is still underway. Mobile internet service was also suspended in Sopore. (KNO)
