Clashes rock Habba kadal amid shutdown | KNO

Srinagar, March 24 (KNO) : Massive clashes broke out at Habba Kadal area of Downtown Srinagar this afternoon when frenzied youth pelted forces with stones and bricks triggering clashes. Witnesses told KNO that group of irate youth took to streets and engaged forces in clashes. The forces fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters who didn't budge and continued to lob stones and bricks at the forces. The clashes were on in the area amid shutdown called by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik against ban announced by the centre against JKLF.(KNO)
