Srinagar, March 25 (KNO) : Flaying the statement of National Conference (NC) candidate for north Kashmir’s Baramulla-Kupwara parliamentary constituency that “Congress was more dangerous than the BJP”, District Congress Committee (DCC) Srinagar President Irfan Naqib today said that Lone has lost his mental balance and has accepted his defeat before the elections. In a statement issued to KNO, he said, “Politicians like Akbar Lone always fuel violence in Kashmir. He has no credulity and is known for his absurdity. He has in the past also abused political leaders and is known for making controversies. He brought the chair of Speaker into controversy by the sort of language, tone, and innuendo he used in 2011.” “It is imperative on NC leadership to take action against Lone as statements like this will create bitterness. The statement of Lone has hurt the sentiments of Congress workers and leaders and he must apologise without any delay,” Naqib demanded. The Congress leader said that Lone has accepted his defeat before the elections. “Lone knows he is a failure and wants to blame the Congress for his failures.” He also urged the Congress workers to work with dedication and make the NC-Congress joint candidate Dr Farooq Abdullah successful. “Despite provocations and anti-Congress statements by the NC leader, Congress will abide by the decision of the high command and work tirelessly for the success for Farooq sahib in Srinagar.”(KNO)
