Jammu, March 25 (KNO) : Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday asked Election Commission of India to cancel candidature of National Conference leader Mohammad Akbar Lone for raising ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogan. Lone is NC candidate for Baramulla parliamentary constituency. “Election Commission of India (ECI) to cancel candidature of Lone and initiate action against him," State BJP general secretary & Incharge Jammu - Poonch Parliamentary Lok Sabha Constituency Yudhvir Sethi said. BJP, in a statement to KNO said that last year also Lone had shouted `Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans in the Legislative Assembly. “Lone is habitual of his Pro-Pak stand and instigates youth of Kashmir to tow wrong lines instead of asking them to be part of development, peace and prosperity," Sethi said, adding such leaders must be booked and charges of sedition filed against them. Sethi accused PDP and NC of having ‘hands in blood of young boys of Kashmir.' “Had these “tried, tested and failed” organisations concentrated on welfare of youth, Jammu and Kashmir would have been on the path of progress like any other state," he claimed.(KNO)
