JAMMU & KASHMIR Militants offer gun salute on death anniversary of militant in Shopian | KNO Published 259 weeks ago on March 26, 2019 By KashmirNewsObserver Shopian, March 26 (KNO) : Militants on Tuesday evening offered gun salute to a local militant on his death anniversary in South Kashmir’s Shopian district. Eyewitnesses told KNO that a group of six to eight militants appeared at the grave of Farooq Ahmad Hurrah in Nazimpora in Shopian and fired many shots in air to pay homage to their slain colleague. They were at the grave for about five minutes and later rushed from the spot' they said. Two years before on same day two militants namely Farooq Ahmad Hurrah of Nizampora Shopian and Rayees Ahmad from Bellow Pulwama were killed in a brief shootout at Padgampora Awantipora. Meanwhile, a complete shutdown was observed in Bellow Pulwama on 2nd death anniversary of slain militant.
