Srinagar, March 27 (KNO) : Congress party on Wednesday rejected any friendly ties with National Conference in the upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir, saying that both the parties are going before the people individually. The state Congress president, G A Mir told media persons here that National Conference and Congress didn’t enter into bonhomie for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections but are contesting it individually. “There was no seat sharing as the parties are fighting elections separately. We are fielding our candidates like NC is, therefore how can you say that there is friendly contest,” he said, adding that they didn’t announce its candidate for Jammu constituencies and “we also didn’t in Srinagar constituency.” According to KNO Correspondent, Mir told reporters that Congress will go before people with its agenda while NC will seek votes on their agenda. Furthermore, Mir said that “Rahul Gandhi has announced the minimum wage scheme for whole of India, promising 6000 Rs per month that amounts to Rs 72000 per year. We will prove it and act as we have proven.” Mir told presser that the mega scheme will benefit 20 percent of India’s total population and covering five crore households, which means almost 25 crore of population will benefit from the scheme.(KNO)
