Family of missing Pattan driver protest in Srinagar, urge governor to intervene in tracing him | KNO

Srinagar, March 29 (KNO) : Family of a missing driver from Pattan on Friday protested in press enclave Srinagar urging government to launch speedy lookout for him. According to KNO correspondent, family members of the missing driver 'Jan Mohd Bhat, S.O Asadullah Bhat R.O Pattan, left home on March 22 and since no whereabout of him are known'. He works as a driver with Jio and is a resident of Mamoosa area of Pattan "We tried contacting him on his phone but that is switched off since then," brother of Jan said. The family members and relatives of Jan assembled at press enclave and staged a protest demonstration urging government to help them in tracing their beloved. "The whole area is in shock, family is disturbed and continuous pain. We urge government to come to the families rescue," relatives said. They said that on the following day i.e March 23 they lodged a missing report in the police station Pattan. "There is no development since and no information of Jan has been received by us till now," they said, adding that Jan has no criminal record and has no police case against his name. Jan, they said, would work to support family and has never indulged in any illegal activities."We plead before authorities to trace Jan, his family is in distress. Help us so that we can have a sigh of relief," they said.(KNO)
