Kishtwar, April 04 (KNO) : Police on Thursday claimed to have busted a hideout of militants in Marwah area of Kishtwar and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunitions.
Acting on a tip-off, the police launched a search operation in the forest area of Marwah and recovered arms and ammunition from the hideout in a natural cave, officials told KNO.
During the search operation, one Pakistan Army rifle with two magazines and five rounds and pouches, one grenade were recovered from the spot, they added.
They said that the police teams cordoned off the area and carried out a meticulous search during which they succeeded in locating the natural hideout of terrorists, which was used during peak of militancy for sustenance.
“The forces are continuing with their persistent operations to keep Kishtwar district safe and sanitised from terrorists as well as their support infrastructure. The recovery of war-like stores will deal a severe blow to the nefarious designs of militants to revive militancy in the area,” they said.(KNO)
