Army man shot dead in Sopore | KNO

Sopore, 06 April (KNO) : An Army man was on Saturday shot dead by suspected militants at Warpora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Reports reaching to KNO said that the soldier Mohammad Rafi Yatoo, son of Gulam Mohiuddin Yatoo of Warpora was shot at by the masked gunmen believed to be militants outside his home around 05: 30 at Warpora area of Sopore this afternoon. A police officer while confirming it said that the soldier was immediately evacuated to Srinagar hospital where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival. Soon after the incident, a joint team of army and SOG launched a cordon-and-search operation in the area to nab the assailants. (KNO)
