Kupwara, April 09 (KNO) : Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Tuesday termed the regional political parties as ‘incompetent’ for resolving the Kashmir issue, working for the welfare of people and safeguarding the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to KNO correspondent, he said during their tenure of 10 years, Congress has always worked for the welfare of people and has tried relentlessly to bring the normalcy back and were successful to some extend but in recent times, the wrong policies has affected the situation in the Valley.
“The result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policies in Kashmir has turned JK into hell, that's why we have assured and mentioned initiation of dialogue in our manifesto, like our party did in Assam, Misoram and other parts of the country. We have dealt all the political issues politically, for that everyone has to talk over single table, because it has no other option,” Mir said while addressing a rally in Kupwara district.
He promised that soon after the Congress comes into the power in Jammu and Kashmir, they will restore the normalcy, initiate a credible dialogue and bring people on board so that a positive atmosphere is created.
Reacting to Omar Abdullah's, Mir said that, “let he utter whatever he wants. Let me take over as Chief Minster once and people will get to see how much control CM has as he holds the unified control of the state, it's not about asking someone about it but one should have will and power to do so, if any political party is capable that's only JKPCC.”
He said that opposition parties can allege whatever they can because they’re using political language at the times of elections, to safeguard Jammu and Kashmir Congress party has always worked from forefront that too under constitution, whatever is needed in future will be done only by Congress, expect Congress party there is no other party that has potential of giving.(KNO)
