Highway Ban tomorrow: Advocates, medical emergencies exempted from restrictions | KNO

Srinagar, April 09 (KNO) : Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan has ordered that advocates, lawyers and medical emergencies shall be kept beyond the restrictions on Highway issued by the government recently. According to KNO correspondent, the government had ordered that highway will remain closed for civilians for two days a week on Sunday and Wednesday. According to an order issued here by Div Com K identity cards of the advocates shall be treated as travel passes by the authorities. “Advocates, lawyers of high court and other courts shall be exempted from the restrictions,' it said. "All the medical emergencies shall be kept beyond the restrictions and the medical prescriptions shall be treated as travel passes by the implementing agencies," the order reads. The orders also asked Magistrates, facilitators and police personnel present at all the critical crossing points, intersections of the NH 1A shall ensure that the commuters are allowed to pass the Highway in a hassle free manner.(KNO)
