Surrendered militant accused of murder arrested in Reasi | KNO

Srinagar, April 09 (KNO) : Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a surrendered militant in Reasi who was accused of a murder and was absconding since last years. Police spokesman in a statement issued to KNO said that on a specific input, a special team led by Dr. Wasim Hamdani Dysp Hqr Reasi and Insp. Ashwani Sharma SHO Reasi nabbed a murder accused who was a surrendered militant namely Mohd Irfan @ Babloo, son of Shafqat Ali Bhat of Kalotran Teh Gandoh Distt Doda. The accused was evading his arrest in case FIR no. 57/2002 u/s 302 RPC 7/27 A Act P/S Gandoh since 8-2-2003, he said, adding that the accused was working as a labourer with a private contractor at Gran Morh Reasi. “The arrest was made under the direct supervision of Shiv kumar Chauhan Addl. S.P Reasi and Smt. Nisha Nathyal SSP Reasi,” he added.(KNO)
