Army, Locals enter in confrontation at Mandi, police starts probe | KNO

Poonch, April 13 (KNO) : A video filmed near Mandi town of Poonch district has gone viral on social media wherein some army jawans and some locals can be seen entering in a confrontation over some vehicle passing issue. Police said to have started investigation into the matter. As per reports, incident took place half a kilometre from Mandi town when an officer of army was on way to some area and a motorcycle was moving from opposite directions on which three local boys were travelling. The army jawans and boys on motorcycle entered in verbal duel over the issue of safe passage of vehicles in a turn and confrontation started. In the video, the local boys can be heard using offensive words against the army personnel besides alleging army personnel of thrashing them on road. Later, some senior citizens of the area intervened into the matter and pacified the matter. However, police officials said that army authorities have lodged a complaint in Mandi police station against the local boys after which investigation has been started and two boys have also been taken into custody.(KNO)
