Deceased Pattan driver’s family stages protest, demands action against accused | KNO

Baramulla, April 16 (KNO) : The family members and relatives of a driver in Pattan whose body was found after he went missing staged a protest on Tuesday near Police Station Pattan, demanding authorities to identify the culprits. Jan Mohammad Bhat, son of Assadullah Bhat from Mamoosa village of Kunzer had gone missing on 22 March following which his body was found in Singhpora Nallah after couple of days. The protesters today hit the streets and blocked Srinagar-Baramulla highway for several hours, which caused traffic mess there. They said that the accused should have been identified and put behind the bars but “Police was taking no action against the accused,” they said. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla Abdul Qayoom told KNO that three persons have been arrested in this regard while as the investigation is on.(KNO)
