13.61 per cent polling recorded in Anantnag | KNO

Srinagar, April 23 (KNO) : The first phase of elections in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district recorded lowest 13.61 per cent voting on Tuesday, officials announced. According to KNO Correspondent, Chief Electoral Officer while addressing press conference here said that in an electorate of 5,27,497 including migrant votes, 67676 votes were polled on Tuesday in the first leg of Anantnag constituency Lok Sabha elections. The overall percentage recorded is 13.61 with the highest poll percentage in Pahalgam segment - 20.37. The lowest turnout was recorded in Bijbehara segment where poll percentage at the end of the day was 2.04. Anantnag registered 3.47 per cent Dooru - 17.28 per cent, Kokernag - 19.36 per cent, Shangus - 15.09 per cent, Bijbehara - 2.04 percent, Pahalgam - 20.37 per cent.(KNO)
