Div Com reviews status of work on various projects in power sector | KNO

Srinagar, May 13 (KNO): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan Monday convened a meeting with all Chief Engineers (CE) of Power Development Department (PDD) to review the status of work on various projects in the sector across the valley. The meeting discussed the progress of various projects under execution in different parts of the valley which include Grid Station at Bandipora, erection of transmission towers and laying of transmission lines from Ganderbal to Bandipora, Lassipora Grid Station at Pulwama, Grid Station at Ahmadpora (Magam), Chrar-i-Sharief Grid Station and works on Alesteng Grid Station. The Divisional Commissioner directed for effective monitoring of ongoing works and strict adherence to the design, drawing and specifications, and use of quality material for creation of durable assets. He emphasized upon the executing agency to complete the projects within stipulated time frame. Khan asked all Chief Engineers to furnish progress report on fortnightly basis to the Divisional Commissioner’s office. Additional Commissioner Kashmir, CE Electric M&RE, CE Systems & Operations, CE Projects Wing and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.(KNO)
