Two suspects detained in Gool along with weapon | KNO

Jammu, May 13 (KNO) : Government forces on Monday have detained two suspected from Gool area of Ramban district. An official told KNO that two suspects belong to Kashmir and have been detained over some suspicious activity in the area. "Both of them are taken into custody," the official said. He said questioning of both the suspects was going by police. "We are analysing all the angles in their questioning as we have apprehensions about their involvement in militancy related activity," the official said. Police later told KNO that that on a specific information regarding suspicious movement of some ANEs in Hara area of Gool, a joint operation was launched by Police Component Gool along with 58 RR and 9 Para at about 3.30 a.m. During the process of cordon and search, two suspects were apprehended along with arms and ammunition. The duo has been identified as Showkat Ahmed Sheikh, son of Gulam Nabi Sheikh of Charsoo, Awantipora, Pulwama and Taweel Mohiudin Dar, son of Gh Mohiudin Dar of Malipura, Kulgam. They said one AK 47 rifle, one AK 47 magazine, 30 rounds of AK 47 and Indian currency Rs.8771/- .In this regard, a case FIR No 40/2019 u/s 121 A, 120 B, 122 RPC 13/17/19 ULA (P) Act has been registered and investigation taken up, police said. During preliminary investigations, the accused persons have been found affiliated with LET terrorist organization and were acting on the instructions of one Naveed @ Abu Talla, an active militant of LeT.
