Secy Tourism reviews status of PMDP projects, Capex Budget 2019-20 | KNO

Srinagar, May 14 (KNO) : Commissioner Secretary Tourism Rigzin Sampheal Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the status of projects under the Prime Minister’s Development Programme (PMDP) scheme and capital expenditure (Capex) Budget 2019-20 here. The meeting was attended by Director Tourism Kashmir Nisar Ahmad Wani, Director Tourism Jammu Om Prakash Bhagat, Director Planning Tourism Parvez Ahmad Kakroo, MD JK Cable Car Corporation Shamim Ahmad Wani, Director Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) Bakhshi Javed Humayun besides CEOs, ADs and resort officers of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions. During the meeting, Sampheal sought detailed information on the physical and financial progress of the projects, asset-wise revenue generation during 2018-19, details of the projects outsourced, and a timeline of the completion of the projects sanctioned under PMDP. While emphasizing on the creation of an eco-friendly infrastructure in a time-bound manner, the Commissioner Secretary directed the officers to initiate the tendering process of the approved projects or works proposed under CAPEX Budget 2019-20 forthwith.(KNO)
