Srinagar, May 18 (KNO) : Three militants were killed in an encounter that broke out during wee hours of Saturday at Panzgam area of Pulwama on Saturday An official told KNO that a joint team of forces including army’s 55 RR and SOG cordoned off Bonpora Panzgam after having credible input about presence of some militants in the area. A senior Police official confirmed to KNO that three militants were killed in exchange of fire between militants and government forces.  "Three bodies have been retrieved whose identification is being ascertained," he said. Meanwhile, sources identified one among the slain militants as Showkat Ahmad Dar son of Gh Rasool Dar resident of Panzgam who was active since September 2016 and newly joined irfan from sopore however other was yet be identified. Internet services have also been snapped as a precautionary measure in PD Awantipora. Locals told KNO that clashes erupted near encounter site. (KNO)
