Sopore, May 17 (KNO) : Encounter broke out between the hiding militants and government forces on Saturday morning in Hathlangoo village of Sopore in Baramulla district. The exchange of fire started after government forces launched a cordon and search operation in village where militants are hiding. Reports reaching to KNO said a joint team of Army’s 22 RR, 179 BN CRPF and SOG Sopore sealed Hathlangoo area of Sopore this morning. "Forces have sealed all entry and exit points and launched house to house searches in the area," a local told KNO. A police officer also confirmed to KNO about the exchange of fire between militants and government forces. Meanwhile internet has been snapped in the Sopore town in wake of the encounter.
