Shopian shootout : Missing Driver among two slain | KNO

Shopian, June 03 (KNO) : Two bodies which were recoverd from the spot after brief exchange of fire in Molu chitragam area of Shopian have been identified. An official while talking to KNO identified the slain as Firdous Ahmad bhat S/o Mohammad Jamal bhat R/o Ponewa kulgam. "Firdous was missing from 1st week of April this year," he told KNO. He identified the second slain as Sajad Ahmad dar S/o Gulam Hasan dar R/o Wampora kulgam, a driver of Tavera. Earlier two dead bodies were recoverd from the site of shootout between militants and government forces in Molu Chitragam on Sunday late night. An official told KNO that militants who were traveling in a vehicle bearing registration No (JK03E0397) jumped a check post set up by party of 44 RR in the area and opened fire. "Forces retaliated, triggering a brief shootout after which two dead bodies were recovered from the site," he said. He told KNO that Firdous was missing since April 05 and had later joined militant ranks while as sajad was working as OGW. "Further investigation about him is going on," he said(KNO)
