Flock of sheep, 2 shepherds rescued by Budgam Police in Doodganga Naalah | KNO

Budgam, 12 June (KNO) : The Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday morning rescued a flock of 550 sheep and two shepherds who were trapped in a Doodganga naalah at Badipura village of Central Kashmir's Budgam District. The flock was trapped due to the overnight heavy rainfall that created havoc in various parts of valley. SHO Chadoora Mehboob Banday told KNO that they received the information about the incident in morning following which a police party was rushed to the spot to rescue the flock as well the shepherd. “Fire and emergency department also accompanied us to the spot and locals who were already on the spot extended their support to carry out rescue operation,” he told KNO. Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Budgam has said that a temporary bridge will be constructed at the Nallah.(KNO)
