Srinagar, June 13 (KNO) : Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) state spokesman Altaf Thakur while strongly condemning the militant attack on the CRPF patrolling party at KP Road Anantnag that left five CRPF men dead and a senior police officer and a young girl critically injured Thursday termed the attack as a frustration and a move to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere prevailing in Kashmir. In a statement issued to KNO, Thakur termed the attack on CRPF men as dastardly and highly condemnable stating that violence has no space in Kashmir, a place that is fast heading towards development and peace. “Efforts of Security Forces to wipe out militancy from Kashmir soil will remain undeterred despite Pulwama and Anantnag type attacks. Fight against militancy will continue till last militant is killed,” he said. Thakur urged the security agencies to probe the Anantnag incident and to find out whether there was anyone involved in hatching the conspiracy against security forces and if any body’s role in it comes to fore, stringent punishment should be given to him.(KNO)
