Marhama gunfight: Jaish district head, Militant whose vehicle was used in Lethpora attack killed | KNO

Anantanag, June 18 (KNO) : In a major success achieved by the forces at Marhama, Bijbehara encounter, among the two slain militants, one has been identified as Sajad Ahmed Bhat, whose vehicle was used in the deadly suicide attack on the CRPF convoy on Lethpora, Pulwama on February 14 that left 40 CRPF men dead and the second one as district commander of the outfit for Anantnag Towseef Ahmed Bhat, top officials told KNO. Sajad, according to sources, had provided his vehicle to Jaish militant Adil Dar, who rammed the same vehicle laden with explosives to the CRPF convoy. Adil was blown up into pieces. Today, in a fierce encounter at Marhama in Sangam area of Anantnag district, two Jaish militants were killed and one has been identified as the Sajad Ahmed Bhat, whose vehicle was used in February 14 suicide attack on CRPF convoy. "It is a big success but we would have loved it to catch him alive to find the missing links of February 14 attack," a top police officer told KNO.(KNO)
