Sehrai pays tribute to Qazi Nisar on his anniversary | KNO

Srinagar, June 20 (KNO): Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai Thursday paid tributes to prominent Islamic scholar Qazi Nisar Ahmed on his 25th death anniversary. Terming Qazi Nisar Ahmed as ‘a gentle soul, dedicated political, social personality,’ Sehrai in a statement issued to KNO said that Qazi was extremely compassionate to the poor and needy and worked for their welfare. Sehrai said that Qazi Nisar sacrificed his life, for the greater cause of the people in the line of seeking a resolution of the Kashmir conflict. “He was an outstanding figure and greatly contributed on various fronts be it on social or religious fronts in particular,” he said. Sehrai also prayed for the departed soul.(KNO)
