Driver returns lost bag with 10 lakh cash to tourist family in Kulgam | KNO

Kulgam, June 24 (KNO) : In an exemplary display of honesty, a sumo driver on Monday returned a bag containing cash and other items to a tourist family who had lost it near Aharbal waterfall in Kulgam district. The driver was identified as Tariq Ahmad Naikoo son of Ali Mohammad Naikoo from south Kashmir’s Shopian district. Ghulam Mohammad, a tourist from Bopal along with his family had gone to to Aharbal in Kulgam. “On Friday the family visited to Waterfall, where they lost a bag containing a good amount of money and some other items including three mobile phones," sources told KNO. Tariq while talking to KNO said he was on the way back from Aharbal and in the mean time he found a bag with three mobile phones, two pouches with bundle of notes and ornaments. "I returned all the way back to handover the items to the tourists," he said. Within a couple of hours, a sumo driver approached the family and returned the bag that he had found, Tariq told KNO. Earlier, fifty lakh rupees were stolen from the safe of Gulmarg Gondola yesterday evening. (KNO)
