Chidder Blast: Another injured succumbs, toll two | KNO

Srinagar, June 29 (KNO) : A man who had sustained injuries in a mysterious blast in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district Saturday succumbed at Srinagar’s hospital, taking the death toll to two. Muhammad Abass Bhat, son of Abdul Rashid Bhat of Chidder area of Khudwani had sustained injuries on June 27 in Kulgam in a mysterious blast. Bhat breathed his last at SKIMS this afternoon, sources told Kashmir News Observer (KNO). Two persons were injured in the blast while one among them died and the other was shifted to hospital for specialized treatment, who also succumbed today, thus taking the death toll to two. Pertinently, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan had ordered an enquiry into the incident. The government press release issued to KNO yesterday reads that Additional District Magistrate, Kulgam (Inquiry officer) shall conduct a magisterial probe into the mysterious blast incident which occurred at Chadder Village of Tehsil Qaimoh in Kulgam District on June 27, 2019. Any person(s) acquainted with the facts of the incident and desirous to depose and record their statements have been asked to appear before the inquiry officer at the ADM’s office in Mini Secretariat Kulgam from June 28 to July 03, 2019 during office hours.(KNO)
