13 July 1931, a historic day in our resistance history: JKLF | KNO

Srinagar, July 12 (KNO) : Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Friday said that 13 July, 1931 is a historic day of Kashmir’s resistance history. “It was on this day when Kashmiris with unity and steadfastness started their struggle for independence from occupation, monarchy, dictatorship, autocracy and all kinds of suppressions. Ongoing freedom struggle is actually a continuation of the struggle started in 1931,” acting chairman of JKLF Abdul Hamid Butt said. In a statement issued to KNO, Butt also paid tributes to martyrs of 13th July 1931. JKLF acting chairman said that this history of rendering sacrifices started from 13th July 1931 when people of Kashmir refused to accept slavery, dictatorship, monarchy and persecution of resistance and started a new journey towards freedom. He said that “Kashmiris defeated the dictatorial rulers called Maharajas but because of our ill fate and misfortune, the defeated maharajas were replaced by new kind of maharajas and maharani’s who sold the blood of great martyrs for petty gains and plunged this nation into a worst kind of slavery and occupation.”(KNO)
