KPs who met Mirwaiz not real representatives of Pandits: BJP | KNO

Srinagar, July 12 (KNO) : Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and spokesman for Kashmir affairs Ashwini Kumar Chrungoo Friday said that the Kashmiri Pandit delegation that met Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq recently over the issue of return of Kashmiri Pandits were not the “real representatives” of Pandits and that BJP was for peace first and then the return of Kashmiri Pandits back to their homes. According to KNO, addressing a press conference here, the BJP spokesman said he was not against Hurriyats move but those who met Mirwaiz were not the real representatives of Pandits. "I want Hurriyat to first contribute eradicating the mess left by mainstream parties over the past 70 years," he said. The BJP, he said was for first creating peaceful atmosphere in Kashmir and the starting a dialogue with government, KPs and others for the smooth return of Pandits. He expressed hope that women were feeling liberal in Kashmir especially in Srinagar and hoped that peace and prosperity will soon be a reality in Kashmir. (KNO)
