Srinagar July 13 (KNO) : Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) paid floral tributes to Martyrs of 1931 at Martyr’s graveyard at Khawaja Bazar, Srinagar. A delegation of senior party leaders, PCC Office bearers, Districts Presidents, Executive Members, Block Presidents and others of JKPCC led by former PCC president Peerzada Mohd Sayeed visited Khawaja Bazar Srinagar and paid floral tributes to Martyrs of 1931, saying that they sacrificed their lives to end the autocracy and injustice in the State. Martyrs fought the battle of justice and equality and laid down their lives for the prestige and honour of the people, their sacrifices will continue to lead the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh at the path of unity and brotherhood. The people JK will continue to get inspired by their sacrifices Martyrs, PCC said as per a statement issued to KNO. “The best way to pay respects to Martyrs of 1931 was to rise to the occasion to strengthen the bonds of harmony and unity in the state to ensure that the divisive forces were not able to divide the people of State on region or religion basis. Let us all come together to build a new JK and defeat the designs of forces inimical to diversity, age old tradition of unity and harmony in the State,” PCC said. Meanwhile, JKPCC lashed out at district administration for mismanagement of the occasion, expressing concern over the way Administration conducted the function. Elaborating that the Distt Administration first conveyed the time slot to Congress Party from 9.00 PM to 9.30 PM at Martyr’s graveyard   then  the time from  8.30 AM to 9.00 AM  was conveyed Party  HQ by the DC’s office verbally,  but on reaching Martyr’s graveyard , the Police officials  informed the Congress delegation and they have been allotted time from 9.00 AM to 9.30 PM, as result, JKPCC witnessed chaos on this occasion, which is not only serious but highly condemnable on the part of district administration, PCC added JKPCC while taking strong notice asked the District Administration to avoid mismanagement of official functions and demanded enquiry into the matter to fix the responsibility inorder to ensure that there was no confusion on such particular occasions, in future. Those who were part of the delegation included Senior Leader Bashir Ahmad Magrey, Farooq Andrabi, Surinder Singh Channi, Shameema Iqbal Abdul Gani Khan, Mohd Sultan, Haji Farooq Mir, Irfan Naqib, Imtiyaz Parray, Sahil Farooq, Gulam Mohd Mir, Imtiyaz Khan, Mohd Aslam Dar, Mushtaq Khanday, Mushtaq Bazaz, Yasir pandit, Kadfeen Chowdhary, Hilal Ahmad Wani, Gulsher Khan, Waseem Shalla, Basharat Bin Qadir, Ruvais Mir, Muzaffar Shah and others.(KNO)
