Sopore Encounter: one militant killed, operation on | KNO

Baramulla, July 17 (KNO) : One militant has been killed in an encounter that broke out in Gund Brath area of Sopore in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Wednesday morning. Police sources told KNO that the body of the militant was yet to be identified while as searches at the encounter site are still going on. Earlier, a joint team of Army's 22RR, SoG Sopore launched a cordon and search operation in the area. Already, authorities have suspended internet services in Sopore town as a precautionary measure in wake of this encounter. Also, the authorities have closed Degree College Sopore for today as a precautionary measure.(KNO)
