Husband-wife duo killed, four injured in Ramban mishap | KNO

Srinagar, July 20 (KNO) : A husband-wife duo was killed on Saturday while as four others sustained injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in rolled fell into a gorge in Ukhral Tehsil of Ramban district in Jammu and Kashmir. Official sources told KNO that a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK14B-3832 was on way from Senabatti to Ukhral. The driver identified as Pawan Singh, son of Surjeet Singh of Pingloga when reached at Banjuni lost his control over the vehicle and rolled down about 500/550 metre into a deep gorge. The mishap leaves six persons seriously wounded, they said, adding that two persons identified as Surjeet Singh, son of Sant Ram and her wife Koushalya Devi of Kot Poghal Tehsil Pogal Paristan district Ramban were declared brought dead. The injured persons were identified as Pawan Singh, son of Surjeet Singh of Pingloga Hochak Tessil Pogal district Ramban, Priya Devi, daughter of Tirath Singh of Kot Pogal, 11, Neelma Devi, daughter of Surjeet Singh of Kot Poghal (20) and unidentified female (15). Official sources said that four persons sustained critical injuries, adding that after receiving first aid at Ukhral hospital, they were shifted to DH hospital Ramban for further treatment. In this connection, a case under FIR number 65/2019 under section 279/337 RPC was registered and investigation has been taken up, police said.(KNO)
