Four gamblers arrested in Kulgam | KNO

Qazigund, July 22 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Police Monday claimed to have arrested four gamblers and recovered Rs 30,580 stake money from their possession. “Four persons were arrested following a credible input about gambling activities in Vessu area of Qazigund in south Kashmir's Kulgam district,” said police spokesman in a statement issued to KNO. “Officers have seized playing cards and a stake amount of Rs 30,580 from the gamblers,” said the spokesman. “Police have registered a case under a relevant section of law registered in Police Station Qazigund,” he said. “Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to pass information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood o the local units,” Police spokesman in a statement said.
