Unfazed by brother’s killing, slain Aurangzeb’s two siblings join army | KNO

Rajouri, July 22 (KNO) : Two brothers of army man Aurangzeb, who was abducted and killed by militants in South Kashmir on June 14, last year joined army and they attended their maiden parade today. According to KNO, a senior army official said that Mohammad Tariq and Muhammad Shabir, sons of Mohammad Hanif, residents of Saloni village of Mendhar—the younger brothers of slain solider Aurangzeb. Aurangzeb, who was posted in 44 RR in Pulwama, was on way from his army camp to his home for attending Eid festival congregation but was abducted by militants and later his bullet ridden body was found. Incident took place on 14-15 June, 2018 while a video also went viral on social media in which militants were seen torturing the army man. The Government of India recently accorded Shourya Chakra in favour of army man. Sources told Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the younger brothers of Aurangzeb had appeared in Territorial Army recruitment held in Surankote in the month of March and got selected. Today, they attended maiden passing out parade at Rajouri. Both brothers attended the enrollment parade held in Rajouri TA headquarter on Monday morning in which GoC Romeo Force, Maj Gen PS Bajwa was chief guest. Both the brothers took part in enrollment parade in presence of their parents amid a gentle smile on his face. In a video released on social networking site, Twitter, Aurangzeb during his abduction was seen being interrogated about his closeness to army Major Rohit Shukla, who had killed  Hizbul Mujahideen Sameer Tiger.  His body was found in an orchard later.(KNO)
