Body of girl fished out in Uri, searches continue for retrieving body of boy | KNO

Baramulla, July 24 (KNO) : The body of a 16-year-old girl who drowned on Tuesday in river Jhelum in Uri of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district was Wednesday fished oput from the river. Officials identified the deceased as Rubeena Bano (16) daughter of Anwar Shah of Dachi Uri drowned in river Jhelum yesterday evening. The girl was slipped into Jehlum while she was grazing the cattle on Tuesday. “Police with the help of locals retrieved the body of the girl in river Jehlum,” eye-witnesses told KNO. Pertinently, the body of a boy identified as Manzoor Ahmad Dar of Jalsri Baramulla who had drowned on Sunday in Jehlum during taking bath is yet to be fished out. Meanwhile, police officials told KNO that Navy officials, locals and Marcos have been pressed into service to retrieve the body of a boy.(KNO)
