Omar welcomes Senior Congress leader Ali Asgar Khan into NC | KNO

Srinagar, July 31 (KNO) : National Conference (NC) party vice president on Wednesday asked the workers to forge unity to meet the challenges the state is facing, saying that it was imperative for the party workers to take the party program to every door step. Exhorting the party workers to increase their engagement with the public, party vice president as per a statement issued to KNO said, “The need of the hour calls for increasing interaction with the public. In a democratic set up, it is the people that have to make a final choice. In the parliament elections, the people across the state had overwhelmingly came out in support of NC. There is no scope of complacency. The situation demands us to be more effective in our engagement with the people.   In order to meet the challenges it is imperative for all of us to work in unison with each other. The grass root level workers, the functionaries have to gear up and ensure that the party program reaches every house hold. The situation demands a sturdy response from us.” On the occasion, Senior Congress leader, contesting candidate Ali Asgar Khan from Karnah joined National Conference with his scores of supporters and workers. Welcoming the new entrant in to the party fold party vice president said posterity will applaud the considerate step of Asgar. He has chosen to strengthen the efforts towards protecting the special identity of the state. I appreciate his step, and I am hopeful that his coming into the party fold will strengthen the party on grass roots. On the occasion the Ali Asgar Khan vowed to make party stronger on grass root level. The new entrant into the party was given an astounding welcome on the occasion by the party leaders. Among others party general secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar, provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani, political advisor Tanvir Sadiq, Kafeel ur Rehman, were also present on the occasion.(KNO)
