Militant killed, army soldier injured in ongoing Sopore gunfight | KNO

Sopore, August 03 (KNO): In the ongoing gunfight, a militant was killed while soldier was wounded after hit by bullet on Saturday early morning at Malmapanpora village of Warpora Sopore in north Kashmir's Baramulla district Official sources told KNO that one militant was killed, while soldier was also injured in the gunfight so far As army search party was moving, militants hiding in the area opened fire upon them triggering off a brief exchange of gunfire in which one militant was killed and a soldier was also injured, Sources told KNO They said the injured soldier has been removed to army’s base hospital for treatment. Earlier this morning, a gunfight broke out between militants and the government forces in the area. As per sources two militants are believed to be trapped in the area Meanwhile, authorities have suspended mobile Internet service as a precautionary measure in the area(KNO)
