Covid—19: 16 samples sent for results test negative in Leh | KNO

Leh, March 23 (KNO): The authorities in Union Territory of Ladakh monday said that 16 samples of Covid-19 suspects sent to Delhi for results have tested negative. According to wire Service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Rigzin Samphel (IAS) Secretary and official spokesperson of Ladakh UT said after existing 13 none of the suspect has tested positive for COVID-19. In a joint presser Rigzin Samphel (IAS) said that people who were under surveillance and suspected to have been infected by novel Corona-virus have tested negative. He said a total number of 16 samples were sent to Delhi for results which was received this morning and all of them have tested negative for deadly corona-virus. Among 16 samples sent, 12 belonged to Kargil and 4 from Leh, he said, adding that we have advised all the people with recent travel history to stay under quarantine (Home Quarantine). Rigzin Samphel (IAS) as per—KNO said that a suspected patient with recent travel history in a flight (Vide number 217) was put under surveillance and samples were sent for results and are expected to reach us this evening. He further said that all the passengers who have arrived in the same flight (217) have been identified, our teams have advised them to remain out of contact from family members and follow necessary quarantine period. Everyone with travel history have been asked to contact medical practitioners if they develop symptoms related to Corona-virus—(KNO)
