Gulmarg, among higher reaches experience fresh snowfall | KNO

Srinagar, Mar 28 (KNO): Even as the plains received overnight rainfall, the higher reaches in north Kashmir experienced fresh snowfall with Gulmarg, the world famous ski-resort recording two feet snow. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the world famous ski-resort Gulmarg recorded two feet snowfall while Kupwara’s Sadna top, Gurez in Bandipora and other higher reaches also experienced fresh snowfall since early this morning. The fresh snowfall has brought the temperature, officials in the local Meteorological department (MeT) said. An official in MeT department told—KNO that they had predicted that the weather will be improved from Saturday afternoon, adding that the dry spell is expected to continue till March 31. Meanwhile, the Srinagar-Jammu highway, the only road connecting Valley rest of the States was closed due to fresh landslides triggered by rains. Officials said that the vehicles coming from Jammu to Srinagar were stranded in Ramban, Nashri and Chanderkoot – (KNO)
