COVID-19 lockdown: Police distribute food items in Ganderbal, Bandipora districts | KNO

Srinagar, Mar 30 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Police in its special drive to reach out to the needy people on Monday distributed food and other items in twin district of Ganderbal and Bandipora amid complete lockdown. According to wire service-Kashmir News Observer (KNO), an official said a police team headed by SHO Aragam, Javid Ahamad, distributed food packets containing rice, oil, pulses and other essentials among the migrant labourers and needy people in Aragam and Nadihal areas of Bandipora. Similarly, police teams from police station Bandipora headed by SHO Mir Saleem also distributed food and other essentials items among the needy particularly the migrant labourers. Station House Officer (SHO) Bandipora said the food packets and essentials were dropped at the doorsteps of every migrant labourers house and proper guidelines we're following vis-a-vis maintaining social distance. Similarly in Ganderbal district, many police teams from police stations Ganderbal and Kangan reached out to people affected by the lockdown and provided them food and other items. Besides distributing food items and other essentials, police also carried out an awareness drive asking people to follow the guidelines issued by the government to stop the spread of COVID-19—(KNO)
