Kupwara, Apr 01 (KNO): Army on Wednesday afternoon launched search operation in the woods of Jumgand in north Kashmir's Kupwara district after militants made an infiltration attempt to sneak in.
According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), an official said that a search operation is underway in the Jumgand woods while no contact has been established as of now.
“Anti-militancy operation is underway in the woods of Jumgand, part of Keran sector along the line of control. The area has tough terrain and topography amid dense forest range,” he said.
Amid rains, search operation is underway while no contact has been established as of now, searches in the area were launched by Army's 8 Jatt Unit, the official said.
