Sopore Apr 01 (KNO): In a swift action, drug department on Wednesday busted a fake hand sanitizer unit in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla and sealed the unit that was operating without a license. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Assistant Drug Controller Baramulla, Bashir Ahmad said that they constituted a team that raided the industrial estate Sopore where an industrial unit that was found involved in manufacturing handsanitizers under the brand name of ‘Activa Saffy’. “The unit was operating without a valid license,” Ahmed said. He said that the unit has been manufacturing several other products without valid license. “We are looking for a stock of the sanitizers already in the market,” he said. "We are on a look out for the stock already supplied to the market,” the Assistant Drug Controller said. He said moreover, they appeal the wholesalers as well as retail outlets of valley that if they have any stock with the name of “seized brand”, they should return it to the drug department—(KNO)
