Rajouri, Apr 07 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday arrested a man in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district and recovered ten grams of drugs powder from his possession.
According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), police said that a team headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Sunderbani, Sanjeev Slathia under the supervision of Sub Divisional Police Officer Nowshera Zakir Shaheen Mirza was on routine patrolling in the area when a pedestrian was signaled to stop for routine query in this lock down period.
However, the man made an attempt to run away from the spot but was caught by the alert cops. “During frisking, ten grams of drugs powder like substance was recovered from his possession,” police said.
The accused has been identified as Nisar Ahmad, son of Abdul Ghani resident of Chandimarh Poonch, at present Nabban Mohalla area of Rajouri town, police said, adding that a case under FIR number 39/20 under sections 8/21 NDPS has been registered against him in Sunderbani police station and further investigation is going on –(KNO)
