Kupwara, Apr 8 (KNO): One more person from Manigah area in north Kashmir's Kupwara district tested positive for novel coronavirus on Wednesday taking the total active positive cases within the district to seven. All the cases had travel history of Delhi.
According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a person, who on Wednesday tested positive for novel coronavirus has travel and stay history of Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi.
An official said the person who has tested positive was already put under quarantine at Sub District Hospital Kupwara soon on his arrival from Delhi.
He said that the patient belonging to Manigah, Kupwara. “After testing positive, he has been shifted to isolation ward. The patient is asymptomatic and is doing well,” the officials said.
The official further said that the contact tracing is underway and all the primary contacts are being shifted to quarantine for sampling. It may be recalled that earlier last week on Saturday, six suspects under quarantine had tested positive for novel Coronavirus, with one more positive case taking the toll of total cases in the district to seven—(KNO)
