In Ramadhan, Ganderbal village remain under darkness | KNO

Ganderbal, May 22 (KNO): Residents of Shutkari village in Sonamarg area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have said that they are without power supply and the concerned authorities don't pay any heed. Locals told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that they are without power supply from last more than a month now and the concerned authorities don’t pay any heed. They said that in the absence of electricity they are forced to lit firewood and with its light they are able to take meals during iftar and Sehri time. The residents said that they brought the issues into the notice of concerned authorities many times but they have failed to redress the issue even after passing of more than a month. Locals said that they have been provided 63kv and 25 KV transformers under a scheme but both are non-functional. They appealed the concerned authorities to makes these transformers functional so that electricity is restored in the village. A PDD Official assured that they will resolve the issue as soon as possible and will provide all possible help to the villagers—(KNO)
