Pulwama, June 02 (KNO): A militant has been killed in an exchange of fire in an ongoing encounter at Saimoh in Tral belt of South Kashmir's Pulwama district on Tuesday morning. A police officer told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that a militant has been killed in an ongoing exchange of fire so far while as two more are believed to be trapped. Earlier an official said that a joint team of Awantipora Police, Army’s 42 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area. He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retialated triggering an encounter. As per the sources, two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area—(KNO)
