Five vehicles washed away, property damaged in flash floods in Poonch | KNO

Poonch, June 05 (KNO): At least five vehicles got washed away while several people lost their belongings in a flash flood in a rivulet near Chandak village of Poonch district on Friday evening. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that amid heavy rainfall, flash flood hit a small rivulet near Chandak village of Poonch district. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Poonch, Rahul Yadav, who visited the area in late evening hours said that four to five vehicles got washed away in the flash floods. “Water also entered in some residential houses and shops in the area, causing damage to the properties of local residents,” DC Poonch added. He further stated that that no loss of life has taken place during the incident – (KNO)
