Ganderbal, June 06 (KNO): At least nine pregnant women were tested positive in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district in less than a week, thus creating panic among the expecting mothers in the district.
An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that nine pregnant women have been tested positive in less than a week, saying that these women had made frequent visits to the hospitals where they have got infected.
The official in the health department said that it has been observed that pregnant ladies are visiting the hospitals frequently. “During pregnancy, the immune system of the pregnant women reduces, thus increasing risk of getting infected to the virus,” the official told KNO.
He appealed the people especially pregnant women not to visit the hospitals frequently. The pregnant women should avoid visiting the hospitals unnecessarily and should get follow the advisories in letter and spirit,” he said.
However, the increase in the number of pregnant women tested positive has created panic among the people especially among the pregnant women – (KNO)
