Scores of leaders and activists took out a protest rally in Hyderpora area of Srinagar after Friday prayers against the killings and forces high-handedness.

Bashir Qureshi led the protest march and Mohammad Rafiq Owasi, Meraj u Din Rabbani, Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah, Syed Imtiyaz Hyder, Imran Ahmad Bhat, Mohd Yusuf Mir, Ishfaq Ahmad Khan, Ab Ahad Bhat, Sajjad Ahmad Pala, Nisar Ahmad & scores other took part in protest rally.

The protesters denounced the detentions of resistance leaders by NIA and the recent killings across Kashmir.

Huriyat said that the haughty and stubborn approach of Indian authorities has evolved a war like situation in the region and added that India has never demonstrated seriousness and good faith in resolving the Kashmir issue.

Huriyat blamed Indian authorities for trampling human rights in state and added that India is signatory to the fact that they in all cases would honor human values, however the situations are quite contradictory, added Huriyat.

India has converted Jammu Kashmir into a killing field, said Huriyat in its statement and added that youth are being blinded, maimed and brutally massacred and those injured rendered handicapped for the whole life.

Kashmiris are also human beings and their rights are the same as that of other people in world, said Huriyat, however India is not showing any honor or respect for fundamental human values.

People in Jammu Kashmir are resenting and resisting foreign occupation, just like people of other countries in other parts of world, said Huriyat.

International community are obliged to support us and they need to feel our pain & come to the rescue of suppressed people in state.

Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory and while recognizing its disputed status UNO has accepted resulutions for its settlement, said Huriyat and added that India stands accountable as they are signatory to these resulutions.

Hurriyat added that India is desperate to suppress our genuine and legitimate demand with its military might, but failed and therefore, they put in service its NIA sleuths to harass and implicate leadership in fabricated cases.

It is just a ploy to malign resistance leadership, said Huriyat and added that in a bid to mislead people and international community, authorities in new Delhi are propagating cooked stories through its biased media.

Hurriyat Conference said that India completely failed in Jammu and Kashmir, and now feel very desperate to malign ongoing freedom movement and labelling it as     terrorism.

Hurriyat while declaring Indian propaganda as bundle of lies, said that truth will come to fore as lie has no legs to stand. It is better for New Delhi authorities to fulfill their commitment made with people in state, Huriyat added.

Blaming international community for their incompetence, Huriyat said the lingering Kashmir issue if not resolved, will prove disastrous for whole sub-continent.
