Full dress Independence Day rehearsal held across Kashmir | KNO

 Full dress rehearsals were held in all the districts and Tehsil headquarters of the Kashmir Valley in connection with the forthcoming Independence Day celebrations.

          At Srinagar, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan unfurled the national flag, inspected the parade in an open jeep and took the salute at the march-past at Bakshi Stadium here today.

          The march-past was presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, BSF, Women Police, State Disaster Response Force, Fire and Emergency Services besides contingents of Forest Protection Force and students from different schools also took part in the event.

          Department of Information and J&K Cultural Academy presented colourful cultural programmes besides Dare Devil and Martial Art stunts were also performed by different teams.    

          On the occasion, DGP, S. P. Vaid, Additional Director Generals of Police, Inspector General of Police Kashmir, Muneer Ahmed Khan, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone and other senior Divisional civil, Police officers were present.

          At Anantnag, a full dress rehearsal was held at Government Degree College Anantnag (Boys). Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, Dr. Abid Rasheed Shah took salute on the march past presented by contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, NCC and Children of various schools.

At Budgam, the full dress rehearsal was held at Sports stadium, Budgam. The Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Mohammad Haroon Malik unfurled the national flag and took the salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, NCC, Home-guard, Fire and Emergency Services.

          Officers from civil administration, police, and army were present.

          At Kupwara, a full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines, Kupwara. Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir took salute on the march past presented by contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, FPF, Fire and Emergency Services, Home Guards and Police Band. Officers from civil administration, police, and army were present.

          The similar function was also held at DPL Handwara where Additional Deputy Commissioner, Peer Muzaffar Ahmad unfurled the national flag and took the salute at combined march past besides colourful programmes were also presented. In Tangdar, SDM hoisted the National Flag at Dak Bunglow besides taking salute at the march past.

          At Pulwama, the full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines, Pulwama. The Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Ghulam Mohammad Dar unfurled the national flag and took the salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services.

          At Kulgam, a full dress rehearsal was held at District police Lines, Kulgam. The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Talat Parvez unfurled the tricolor and took the salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services.

          At Bandipora, a full dress rehearsal was held at Sher-i -Kashmir sports stadium, Bandipora today. The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Sajad Hussain inspected the parade and took salute on the march past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, and students from different schools.

          Officers from civil administration, police, and army were presented on the occasion.

           At Ganderbal, a full dress rehearsal was held at Madri Meharban Stadium, Ganderbal. The Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Piyush Singla unfurled the tricolor and took the salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, forest protection Ganderbal  Force, ITBP and Fire and Emergency Services.Officers from the Civil administration, Police and Army were also present on the occasion.

          At Baramulla, a colourful full dress rehearsal was conducted at District Police Lines Baramulla today. Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash unfurled the national flag and took the salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services and NCC. On the occasion, senior officers of civil administration, Police department were present.

          At Kargil, a colourful full dress rehearsal was conducted today at Khree Sultan Chow Sports Stadium. Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Haji Gulzar Hussain unfurled the national flag and took the salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services and NCC. On the occasion, senior officers of civil administration, Police department were also present.
